KERALA'S PREMIER EXHIBITION FOR HOTEL & BAKERY SECTOR

The 3rd edition of Kerala's highly successful hotel show is being hosted again from May 22-24, 2009 at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kaloor, Cochin.

The event will showcase the best in hotel supplies, food & beverages, equipment for bakers & restaurants and other services. It will be an ideal opportunity for suppliers to target the growing hospitality sector in Kerala. The show will also facilitate and provide  technology and service providers an opportunity to identify local partnerships.

WHY - KERALA
In recent years, Kerala has achieved a reputation of being one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. International tourist arrivals to Kerala stand at over 5 lakhs, while domestic tourist arrivals have crossed the 60 lakhs mark. Tourism generates over Rs. 10,000 crores for the state economy. A just - released World Bank study ranks Kerala, upped only by Karnataka, as the most optimistic State for investment. Kerala performs very well on all the three categories of indicators including  infrastructure, institutions and inputs.

Inspite of the global meltdown in tourism, many international & local hotel chains are still investing in new hotel properties and upgrading existing ones in the State. A host of reputed hotel chains have already announced plans for their new properties in Kerala. Some of them include Aitken Spence - Heritance Kochi , Bergguen Hotels- Keys Resort will start their projects late 2009,  while Taj Group has already opened their new hotel- Taj Residency, Trivandrum and Hampshire Group, their 2nd hotel in India- Dream, Kochi.
