Debate Competition

We are proud to announce that we are planning to organize a “Debating Competition” to selected schools in Sri Lanka as concurrent event to  ADYAPANA 2008. It will be the first of its kind which will create an antidote to the idea that “debate” in Sri Lanka must be overtaken by sound bites and arguments rather than a reasoned, informed exchange of ideas. 

As a private organization we are fully aware of our “Corporate social responsibility” aspect and with the firm commitment to serve Sri Lankan youth. We are hosting these premiere debates showcasing & inspiring our talented younger generation.  This debate series is designed to contribute to the conversation with a genuine, thoughtful give-and-take that will both inform people and provoke dialogue.

Stretching for three glamorous days and attracting over 15000 students & parents for the above exhibition, these debates will be judged by reputed personnel and will be publicized & awarded. We cordially invite your alma mater to be a part of this memorable occasion which will be promoted as a mega island wide event covering leading schools all over Sri Lanka.

A maximum team of four students, one substitute student and the master/teacher in charge will be allowed to join the competition which will be free of charge.
