INDEX 2010- THE EXHIBITION
Today more attention is now bestowed on sustainable agriculture like integrated rubber plantations in order to satisfy the growing demand for latex.
To fulfill this demand, the most comprehensive Rubber Expo is to be held in Kottayam-the rubber centre of the country. Rubber Board, the nodal agency for promotion of rubber growers is also located here, will be conducting various technical sessions during the meet. The main aim of this meet is to promote and develop the rubber sector and related industry by disseminating information and knowledge to farmers, processors, traders, development organizations and other interested parties.
Participants are invited from industrial units and machinery manufacturers from all over India to exhibit their products at INDEX 2010 at Sports Council Stadium, Kottayam, Kerala.
The event been organised annually at Kottayam and being held for the 15th edition, will for the first time be an International Showcase, featuring this time participation from Sri Lanka, Vietnam & Indonesia. Besides rubber machinery suppliers from outside Kerala will also be taking part in the event. The theme of the event will be “PLANTATION TO VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS IN RUBBER SECTOR”
With more than 2000 small & micro based units in Kottayam district alone in the rubber sector, the event will showcase the strength and potential of this sector. It will also feature International Conference on the Rubber Sector that will be held concurrent to the show. Apart from information sharing, the event would also provide an excellent platform for business-to-business matchmaking.
The show will be an ideal opportunity for all manufacturers and suppliers involved in the rubber sector to target the large rubber processors in the state. It will be an ideal platform for the local manufacturers to meet up with leading institutional buyers from all over India.
